The months since leaving my old life behind had been a whirlwind of excitement, each day spent with Zayne revealing new wonders. As he led me through the sleek corridors of his newly repaired ship, I couldn't help but marvel at the advanced technology surrounding us, a far cry from the outdated appliances and flickering fluorescent lights of the Starry Skillet.

Zayne paused outside a door, a hint of nervous anticipation in his mesmerizing purple eyes as he placed his hand on the scanner. The door slid open with a soft hiss, revealing a spacious room bathed in warm, inviting light.

"Over here is our room," he explained, guiding me inside with a gentle hand on the small of my back. "That's partially why the repairs took longer than we had hoped. I wanted to make sure the ship had the human comforts you're used to."

I gazed around in awe, taking in the plush bed with its shimmering, iridescent sheets and the gleaming bathroom visible through an open doorway. While the tech was beyond anything I'd ever seen, there was a comforting familiarity to the layout that made me feel instantly at home.

A laugh bubbled up from my chest as I leaned against Zayne's solid form, his arm instinctively wrapping around my waist. "You saw my trailer, the bar is not high on what I'm willing to live with." I grinned up at him, my heart swelling with affection. "I love it."

Zayne's eyes softened, a tender smile playing on his lips as he dipped his head to capture my mouth in a sweet, lingering kiss. "I love you," he whispered against my skin, the words sending a shiver of delight down my spine.

I melted into his embrace, sighing contentedly as our lips moved in perfect sync. As we parted, a flicker of movement from a screen caught my eye, drawing my attention to an unusual lounge chair positioned near the bathroom. Curiosity piqued, I gestured toward the strange apparatus with its array of tools and control pads.

"What's that?"

I walked over to the chair, eyeing it curiously as Zayne followed close behind. The screen lit up with a dizzying array of options, all in a language I couldn't begin to decipher. Hesitantly, I tapped the display, and the machine whirred to life beneath me. Small, circular doors along the sides of the chair opened with a soft hiss, hinting at the hidden mechanisms within.

"Oh, that's the ship's self care device." Zayne said casually, as if it was something every human had in their home.

I raised an eyebrow, glancing over my shoulder at him. "Riiiight, but what does that mean?" My fingers danced across the screen, each touch eliciting a new sound or movement from the chair.

Zayne rubbed the back of his neck, a faint purple blush coloring his metallic skin. "I forget that humans are very reliant on each other for pleasure. Though obviously I enjoy that as well, most of our missions are solo and it's beneficial to our mental health to have certain needs met.
